AFO Flight Foundation welcomes professionals and community members who want to contribute time, knowledge and practical capability to aviation education and public benefit.

Volunteer needs vary by program and event. Tell us where your experience is strongest, and we will evaluate potential alignment as opportunities develop.
Contribute flight instruction, ground instruction or examiner expertise, offer career guidance and training advice, and help aspiring aviation professionals plan their next steps. Supporters may also be featured, with their consent, on a future website page recognizing those who contribute to the Foundation’s mission. Instructional and examination activities remain subject to applicable qualifications and authorizations.
Support aviation learning, career awareness, mentoring and educational program delivery.
Contribute aviation, operational, technical or safety experience to mission-aligned activities.
Help plan and deliver community events, outreach activities and public-facing initiatives.
Strengthen digital communications, social media, design, technology and information systems.
Support relationship development, sponsorship readiness and fundraising planning before public solicitation is opened.
Offer practical help for specific projects, events or emerging operational needs.
What to expect
Mission alignmentAssignments are based on current organizational needs and appropriate experience.
Credential verificationAviation, instructional, DPE and other regulated qualifications will be verified before related duties are assigned.
Role-specific screeningSome assignments may require interviews, references, training or background screening.
No automatic appointmentSubmitting the form does not create a volunteer position, employment relationship or commitment by either party.
