How website contact information is handled.
This notice applies to information voluntarily submitted through AFO Flight Foundation website contact, program-interest and volunteer forms.
Information collected
Depending on the form, AFO may collect your name, email address, telephone number, location, aviation profile, area of interest, availability, experience, qualifications, professional links, languages and the content of your message. Volunteer candidates may optionally provide a résumé in PDF, DOC or DOCX format. To protect the forms from abuse, the website also creates a pseudonymous security identifier from connection information. The raw IP address is not stored in the submission register.
How information is used
Information is used to respond to inquiries, direct communications to the appropriate institutional function, understand interest in planned programs, provide requested updates, and evaluate and communicate with prospective volunteers. Program-interest registration is not an application, waitlist, eligibility determination or promise of funding. A volunteer-interest submission does not create an appointment, employment relationship or commitment by either party.
Disclosure and protection
AFO does not sell website contact information. Access is limited to authorized personnel and service providers supporting the website and communications. Optional résumés are stored in protected object storage and are not publicly listed. Reasonable technical controls are used to restrict automated and excessive submissions. Information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for operational, legal and security purposes, and may be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect the Foundation, its systems or others.
